For Technical interview -In Software company
1>atleast one language ( C is perfectly fine...if you know C++/ Java etc thats fine...even if you donot know, there is no issue..But should be well versed with atleast C...And if they ask you how many languages you know..tell honestly whatever you know..If you know just the basic of Java, its alright. Tell them that you know just the basic of Java.)
2> DBMS- oracle/SQL- the basic queries and fundas like normalisation. If you are no clear with something, tell them honestly if they ask.
3>SDLC- you should be clear of the life cycle. A few methodologies like waterfall, agile, spiral. This is theoritical.
4> If you know Unix/Linux- brush up the commands..If you donot know , its fine. Tell them honestly that it was not in your syllabus but given an opportunity you can learn.
5> Your project/ mini project/ training/internship- whatever is present in you resume. Be absolutely clear in that. You should know everything about your project. How you did it. What was your role. What methodology u used. Why? What platform . which DB. Why...I mean everything about your project. You should know everything about your project like the back of your hand..Dont worry if your project is not a very hifi kinda stuff.. It hardly matters. What matters is you know what you did.
